Anderson is the county seat of Anderson County and the home base of our team. Nicknamed the Electric City because it was one of the first places in the Southeast with electric power in the 1890s, it pairs a walkable historic downtown with easy access to Lake Hartwell and the rest of the Upstate. About 28,000 people live in the city itself, with many more in the surrounding neighborhoods and towns.
Active listings in the city of Anderson on our site as of October 21, 2026. Averages include lake and luxury homes, so many homes sell well below the average. Ask us for a custom report on any neighborhood.
You will find everything from older brick ranches and mill-village cottages near downtown to new construction subdivisions and waterfront homes on Lake Hartwell.
Most of the city is served by Anderson School District Five, one of five public school districts in Anderson County. Anderson University is in town, and Clemson University and Tri-County Technical College are a short drive away. Always confirm school assignments for a specific address with the district.
